Acting on behalf of the London Cocktail Club BC Retail have successfully acquired 108 Essex Road, Islington as the groups 6th venue agreeing a new 15 year lease inside the act at a rent of £35,000 pax. BC continue to search for other suitable A4 expansion opportunities for the L.C.C.
Acting on behalf of Pret A Manger BC Retail have successfully acquired 121 Bethnal Green Road. The site was secured on a new 15 year lease at a commencing rent of £100,000 pax.
BC Retail have acquired 15 Henrietta Street for cult Japanese menswear brand The Real McCoys. The shop opened to the public on 10 December.
15 Henrietta Street extends to 330 sq ft and is located opposite Nigel Cabourn who opened in October. Fred Perry are also due to open on the street shortly with other menswear brands set to follow.
The Real McCoys stock US vintage-inspired brand’s flight jackets, pea coats, sweatshirts, denim and accessories. Founder and designer Hitoshi Tsujimoto, known as ‘the ultimate seeker’, has amassed an impressive personal collection of vintage clothing which he then reproduces as top-quality pieces in the brand’s factories across Japan. The brand’s forthcoming London shop follows the opening of a store in SoHo, New York in July this year – marking the brand’s first store outside of Japan, where it has 10 shops.
Following the successful acquisition of 5-11 Mortimer Street BC Retail have simultaneously negotiated and agreed an outstanding review and surrender of Pret’s existing lease at 1 Charlotte Place. BC secured a surrender premium from the Landlord.
