Nusu

BC Retail have recently been retained by new healthy food and beverage concept NUSU. NUSU is a Swiss company that offers a variety of seasonal products from salads and curries to sandwiches and soups. NUSU will be looking at A1/A3 opportunities of 500 – 3,000 sq ft in the City and West End.

BC Retail have been retained by menswear fashion brand Carhartt – WIP to secure premises for their New London Flagship store. They are looking at opportunities in Covent Garden, Soho and Mayfair. We will also be working with Carhartt looking at other opportunities Nationwide.

12 Leather Lane – Choices

BC Retail successfully advised Choices Café on the surrender of their lease and engineered a new lease between the Landlord’s and Chilango who paid a substantial premium. Leather Lane is a popular street food market near Chancery Lane.

Benugo

Acting on behalf of A1 food retailer Benugo, BC Retail has recently acquired the Deck Café at Brown Hart Gardens and 12 Hanover Street.

Benugo has taken a new 10 year lease on the Deck Café, Brown Hart Gardens which is located off Duke Street, Mayfair. The Gardens have recently reopened after refurbishment and the café will occupy the new glass building at the Western End adjacent to the Beaumont Hotel.

BC also advised on the acquisition of 12 Hanover Street, taking an assignment of Headmasters existing lease.

BC Retail will continue to work with Benugo on their expansion plans and are looking for new sites across the capital.

Orla Kiely – 2 Percy Street

BC Retail advised ladies fashion designer Orla Kiely on the acquisition of their new showroom and furniture concept ‘Orla Kiely House’ at 2 Percy Street. Orla Kiely has taken an assignment of an existing 10 year lease from Contemporary Applied Arts, paying a premium of £65,000 at a passing rent of £53,000 pax.

Austique – 38-40 New Cavendish Street

BC Retail successfully disposed of Austique’s lease at 38-40 New Cavendish Street to French homeware retailer Caravane. The retailer paid a premium of £40,000 for the existing 10 year lease at passing rent of £75,000 pax.

As a relocation for the New Cavendish Street store BC Retail advised Austique on the acquisition of the Village Bicycle at 79-81 Ledbury Road, Notting Hill. Austique took an assignment of the existing lease with a passing rent of £100,000 pax.

Henderson – 1 Norton Folgate

Acting on behalf of Henderson Global Investors, BC retail has recently agreed a letting to Sweatshop at 1 Norton Folgate, E1. The tenant, who will trade as ‘The London Marathon Store’, has taken a new 10 year lease at a rent of £145,000 pax. BC Retail will continue to work with Henderson and provide retail advice on the Central London Office Fund.
