BC Retail have been instructed by Westminster Council to market 50,000 sq ft of space in the heart of the West End located at basement level below Cavendish Square.
All uses are being considered for the space, subject to planning, with a targeted handover date set for late 2017.
Acting for a private investor BC Retail secured a letting of shop premises at 16 Marylebone High Street to jewelry brand Anna.
The shop which extends to approx. 1,117 sq ft was let on a 10 year lease excluded from the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 Part II.
Anna was formed in 2009 and the opening in Marylebone is their fifth opening adding to shops in locations including Vienna, Munich and New York.
Acting on behalf of London Union BC Retail have successfully acquired 10,030 sq ft of space above the new Crossrail station on a 10 year lease with a 12 month rent free package. This will be for their new Streetopia concept.
London Union are seeking further sites for their 2017 pipeline.
Acting on behalf of a private Landlord BC Retail have successfully let 22 Noel Street to Pilau
on a new 10 year lease at a rent of £37,500.
Acting on behalf of the Hart brothers BC Retail have successfully acquired 7a Stoney Street from Network Rail on a new 15 year lease at a commencing rent of £170,000 pax with a rent free period of 9 months. They will be opening a new Mexican concept El Pastor.
The Hart brothers, who curated Barrafina and Quo Vidas will be opening their taqueria (taco restaurant) in early November.
Acting for Polish cosmetic brand Inglot, BC Retail has successfully secured premises on Oxford Street for the brand. The 600 sq.ft store will be Inglots third in the UK and a new 10 year lease at a rent of £625,000 has been agreed with a 3 month rent free period. This rent level represents a Zone A rent of £1,113 per sq.ft setting a new record for the street.
Acting on behalf of LEON, BC Retail have successfully acquired the whole of 33 Eastcastle Street from Langham Estate on a new 10 year lease at a commencing rent of £170,000 pax with a 4 month rent free period and a £45,000 Landlord contribution.
Acting for TH Real Estate, BC Retail have recently finalised lettings of the final two shops at their Amhurst Road development in Hackney, which is located adjacent to Hackney Central station. These lettings are to Carphone Warehouse and Costa who have committed to a 10 and 15 year lease term respectively. This mixed use development, which includes at TK Maxx and Travelodge, was acquired by TH Real Estate earlier this year directly from the developer for £13.5m, reflecting a net initial yield of 5.88%.
Acting for TH Real Estate BC Retail has successfully secured a deal to let these prime shop premises to Accessorize. 443 Strand forms part of the Coutts building and extends to approximately 1,500 sq ft over ground and basement. A new 10 year lease was agreed at a rent of £235,000 pax.
